February 1, 2018

What’s a perfect way to relax and enjoy the weekend? A staycation! Staycations are popular these days because it’s the easiest way to relax and unwind after a tiresome week at work or school. I love spending weekends with my family or friends and it’s even better when spent in a new environment whether for a quick or long vacation. For this entry, I’m sharing some of my experiences and thoughts on why you should consider Marco Polo Ortigas for your next staycation.  Number one thing that I love most about Marco Polo Ortigas is its accessible location. It is situated in Ortigas Commercial Business District between Quezon City, Mandaluyong and Pasig City. This five-star hotel is surrounded by major shopping malls and entertainment areas such as SM Megamall, The Podium, Shangri-La Plaza Mall and Robinsons Galleria. During my stay I got to drop by Megamall just to stroll around for an hour and was able to get back to the hotel for just a quick 15-min taxi ride. Not to mention this hotel is also ideal for travelers and backpackers cos it’s just 15 kilometers away from the Ninoy International Airport. My family and I stayed at Marco Polo’s two premier and superior connecting rooms for three days and two nights. The first thing I noticed as I stepped inside our suite was the huge window with a beautiful overlooking the busy streets of Ortigas, neighboring the tall buildings and the breathtaking mountain views.Their rooms are very spacious, smells good and has a stunning classy interior design. The most important part of the room was the bed cos it’s very comfy and heavenly that we had a very relaxing sleep experience. Our stay wouldn’t be complete without their complimentary high-speed wifi internet service that is available all throughout the suites.Bedgasm (noun) A feeling of euphoria experienced when climbing ino bed at the end of a very long day lol =pthe bathroom in the premier room There’s nothing more relaxing than spending time in a beautiful bathroom. Every corner is very dreamy and luxurious!the bathroom in the superior roomminibar The next day we had our breakfast and lunch buffet at Cucina, the fashionable all-day dining with a seating capacity of 156, this restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner located at level 24 of the hotel. They offer delicious healthy buffet and an a la carte menu offering different Continental and Asian cuisines. What made me fascinated about the restaurant aside from their appetizing food was their interactive open kitchens showcasing specialties from around the world.
