I’m the type of traveler who’s consistently on a budget especially whenever I travel abroad. As much as possible I’d like to allot my hard earned money wisely the best way possible. One thing that I already proven and tested when travelling on a budget is by minimizing expenses with the accommodation and maximizing funds by trying out local foods, joining activities and go sight seeings. When I say minimize expenses for the accommodation, it means more about value and getting the most of what I can afford rather than choosing the cheapest option.
Before the trip to Bali, my friend and I searched for the most affordable yet stylish hotel located in Kuta. After days doing some research, we finally found a perfect one which we both agreed. We chose to stay at H Sovereign in Bali which is a 4-star hotel located in Tuban, Bali. There are a lot of reasons why we chose to stay at this hotel aside from the fact it’s a wallet-friendly budget accommodation compared to other hotels and beach resorts.
The location of the hotel is just a 15 minute-drive away from the Ngurah Rai International Airport. This is such an ideal place to stay for travellers who need to catch up an early morning or late night flight. The hotel is just walking distance to variety of restaurants, local markets, boutiques and even factory outlets. During our stay, my friend and I enjoyed some food trips and shopping late night for just a short walk to nearby destinations. There also nearby beaches in the area such as Tuban Beach, Legian Beach and other popular attractions like Kuta Beach is just a 15-minute walk from the hotel.
We stayed in a 25 sq m Deluxe room which has two twin size beds that costs around IDR 410,000 / Php 1,500 per night only. Our room is complete with air conditioning, safety deposit box, coffee & tea maker, mini bar, wardrobe and phone. The comfy bed, luxury bed mattress and pillows were heavenly for a good night’s sleep after our long day trip around Bali. There’s also a free WiFi access, LED TVs with digital channels and a 24-hour room service. The bathroom offers a rainfall shower head, hair dryers complete with free toiletries and bedroom slippers.
For dining, H Sovereign has 2 onsite restaurants including Kitchen Meliwis, which serves for breakfast, lunch and dinner and specializes in international cuisine. The hotel has their own coffee shop called Owl Stone located near the lobby area. What I love most about H Sovereign Hotel is their very own rooftop pool. It has a generous sized swimming pool and a level paved area for a beautiful overlooking view of Tuba and Kuta. From the rooftop pool, guests can can take pleasure in the vibrant hues of both sunrise and sunset, and sometimes a close view of airplanes taking off and landing to the nearby airport. Not to mention, you can enjoy snacks & refreshments at the 7 Clover Sky bar at the rooftop.
