Chimichangas in SG

June 3, 2017

A week ago, my sister and I together with my brother and dad visited Singapore for the very first time. Part of our bucket list was to visit different cozy restaurants that serves tasty dishes. The top of our plan was to drop by Little India where Chimichanga is located. It is just a minute stroll away from DT3 Rochor MRT station and 15 minutes away from Chinatown where our hostel is located.
This restaurant serves Mexican cuisine such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos and of course, chimichangas! All dishes are priced at a maximum of only $10, and with no GST and no service charge. As we enter the place, the first thing we noticed were the explosion of colors and bold summer prints of their table cloths, they were very vibrant as Mexican trends. Chimichanga has a very hipster Mexican vibes — long and narrow alley, with brick floors, rustic peeling walls, and low-hanging light bulbs.Mexican Sombrero Hats Iced Fruit Tea (S$ 5)
Mexican Bottled Coca-Cola  (S$ 5)
Golden fried puffed chicken bites Popcorn Chicken (S$ 8)
Crunchy & golden calamari (S$ 8)
 Quesadillas Ancho Beef & Cheese (S$ 12)  Buff-O-Wings Fried chicken wings with a smoky-sweet sauce drizzle (S$ 8)
The one in the middle is Salt Pork Tinga Chimichanga. The Burrito’s golden & crispy cousin — 5-hour slow roasted pork with amarillo rice, pico de gallo, cheese, served with a drizzle of salsa verde & crema and greens on the side. (S$ 10)

Cinco De Mayo this day!
Sweet Potato Taquitos Fried sweet potato with creamy refried beans, dressed with cojita cheese, greens, crema & Sriracha mayo (S$ 10) Quesadillas Grilled disks of melted gooey cheese sandwiched in a flour tortilla There’s always room for dessert! Satisfying my sweet tooth with their Marshmallow & Nutella Chimichanga (S$ 8).  It is wrapped in a toasted flour tortilla dusted with cinnamon sugar, served with vanilla ice cream & dulce de leche drizzle.

Vintage Mexican Bottled Coca-Cola  (S$ 5)
